University of Southern California (USC) – Brain & Creativity Institute Addition

This main campus research facility consists of offices, graduate student research space and a 100-seat theater/lecture auditorium. The auditorium is designed to be a flexible performance space, optimized for small musical arrangements, and capable of handling lectures and video presentations/screenings. The classrooms and collaborative areas are meant to foster the sharing and development of ideas regarding the origins of human thought and consciousness. The project is in a constrained site, both above grade due to the proximity of adjacent buildings, and below grade due to existing utilities.
