The tenant improvement project for San Francisco-based Chronicle Books upgraded a large warehouse near the ballpark. Featuring exposed ceilings and floors, renovations included a new back staircase and skylight opening, as well as wood paneling. In addition, a conference center and interactive library for informal gatherings and social outings were created. The wide-open floors with few private offices encourage the collaboration of creative ideas.

The Chronicle Books project was an IIDA Honor Award recipient in 2008.
