188 Spear Street Addition

The addition to 188 Spear Street consisted of a 4-story structural steel addition to an existing 8-story cast-in-place and precast concrete structure. The vertical addition features a curtainwall and brick clad precast façade, keeping in line with the structure’s original architectural style. Hathaway Dinwiddie worked around the occupied building throughout construction and maintained the building’s mechanical system as the addition was built around it. Once the new roof was complete, the mechanical system was transferred.
